One comment on “Anglican TV–Interview with Bishop Mouneer Anis

I am surprised there are not already several comments here. ++Mouneer does make some points that are not brought out in the address. Such as “where are the Episcopal Visitors?” This is a really good question. You will remember “episcopal visitors”- the bishops that +Rowan was going to dispatch to wherever the orthodox were being persecuted in TEC. Sort of a replacement for “communion partner primates”- when KJS objected to having GS primates on US soil in any official communion capacity. Last I recall, +RW sent his episcopal visitors to Canada to let everyone know that there was really no problem over Canadian SSBs. Since then, has anyone seen one?
One notes that the Communion Partner Primates continue to come and go as they please (and thank the Lord that they do), as ++Mouneer’s visit demonstrates. But ++Rowan stopped calling them “Communion Partner Primates” 6 months after he initiated the Communion Partner plan (that would be after the panel of reference, and before the episcopal visitors).
I wonder what the 2011 “solution to all Anglican Problems” will be? Probably be announced at the press conference on Monday.
